Neil Shand is one of our greatest ever comedy writers, said to have written for “everyone in the world”.
He wrote the entire Q series with Spike Milligan and did 1,500 Frost Reports with David Frost. He also wrote for The Two Ronnies, Jasper Carrott, Kenny Everett, Bob Monkhouse and many, many others.
Neil will be in conversation with writer and critic Louis Barfe (biographer of Les Dawson and British Light Entertainment) talking about his remarkable career in comedy and career on Fleet Street before that, as well as playing clips from TV’s comedy golden years.
