Heads Up Festival’s spring 2018 season – the 10th Heads Up Festival – will take place from March 2 – March 17 at various venues, including Kardomah94, Hull Minster and Hull Central Library.
The festival will include the world premiere of new E52 production Dark Winter at Hull Truck Theatre (March 13-17. SOLD OUT), award-winning British artist Victoria Melody’s latest show Ugly Chief (March 2-3), which also stars TV celebrity antique dealer Mike Melody, at Hull Minster, and dance company Turned On Its Head’s show for babies, young children and families Sponge (March 8-10) at Hull Central Library.
The festival will also see the return to Hull of Bill Drummond (The KLF, The K Foundation) with a double bill of new plays titled Daffodils & Death at Kardomah94 (March 8). Drummond was last in Hull in 2017 when he presented Your Darkest Thought and shined his audience’s shoes as part of Substance Live. Other programme highlights include a multi-disciplinary arts experience by What Is? Collective (March 7, at a secret location), the latest Heads Up Introducing event with singer Lyn Acton (March 6), Russ Litten’s From Liverpool With Love (at Kardomah94, March 9) as well as the usual heady mix of events, panels and workshops that has cemented Heads Up’s reputation as the home of brave and brilliant performance.
Heads Up Festival is produced by E52 in partnership with the groundbreaking Battersea Arts Centre.
